how to get out of clinical depression?
if someone is suffering from a long time ckinical depression, the best way to cope up with is DISTRACTION :) go get yourself indulged in anything new and exciting! it sounds boring but trust me this really works. Stick to your hobbies or make some new hobbies (best suggestions from psychologysts are hobbies like gardening, photography, sketching, painting or anything artistic as it releases your emotions ). gradually you will find yourself comfortable with this and then set up a new routine :) and steadily you will find yourself out of depression :) this really works

@NICK08 - I think distraction is definitely one coping mechanism that can be helpful, though often distraction alone cannot change clinical depression and it requires other help as well.
