Engagement Funk

Anyone ever gone into a depressive episode over your friend getting engaged? My bf and I have been together over 6 years, living together about 5 and we arent engaged. A close friend of ours told me about his plan to propose to his gf of a year and idk why, but its given be crazy anxiety and I've slipped into a depressive episode and I'm just in a funk. I'm happy for our friend, it just makes me question why my bf hasnt asked yet. I dont want to pressure him, but I also dont want to just be waiting around forever. Anyone ever felt this way?
