NO STIGMA

A former girlfriend has a statement on her *** page. She now works as a "peer counselor" at some clinic. She declares herself to be "no stigma girl" and brags about how she is forthcoming with everyone about her mental illnesses. She lists about half a dozen illnesses. She talks about how, when we were younger, mental illness was a thing only whispered about. Well, I don't see any benefit to shouting about it.
While a disability might not be the fault of the person who has it, normalizing it is, in my view, grotesque. This type of mentality is all too common in contemporary society, and encourages people to reject responsibility for their lives, to evade accountability.
