how do you get out of bed in the morning on the bad days?
how do you motivate yourself to get out of bed on the bad days? depression is like a bed magnet and i can’t figure out how to find motivation to start the day no matter what time it is.
For me I try to remember the things that I enjoy and how getting out of bed would help me do them
@goofyheadgirl01 Hi. Trust me. I totally get it. The mornings can be the worst. I’m finally seeing some change after dealing with depression and anxiety for about a month and a half. Even then mornings are hard. What I do is get up do some push ups throw some clothes in the washer to feel productive and then go for a walk in the neighborhood. The walk definitely helps me a lot
It really is forcing myself. I always feel better after the shower. I just remind myself over and over again. @goofyheadgirl01
I find it so hard to get up in the mornings too. I've recently started a part time job which is helping as I have to be in work for 10 30am. This is helping me stay motivated as a few weeks ago I couldn't even get out of bed at all for days on end. The only time I would get up was to get a take-away so I ended up putting on weight which made me more depressed but luckily the weight has come off again now since I've been working. Finding a job might help as you have to get out of bed for something. Hope this helps!

@goofyheadgirl01 I always start my day with a nice shower, even when it is hard to get out of the bed. Taking a shower just helps me decompress and relax before the day ahead of me! You got this!
