best cities for low self esteem

Choosing a city can feel like a choice between isolation and competitiveness. I live in Chicago where there's a lot of diversity of thought and balance and I'm curious what other cities are good for maintaining a healthy sense of self.

This is an interesting post. I never truly gave much thought to the meaning of cities for self-esteem and the mood. I like how you think about the differences between the cities. I am wondering what you ended up deciding with? Can you let us know?
@HopieRemi I think cities with diversity of thought & lifestyles are best for self-esteem. I've heard cities dominated by 1 industry eg. San Francisco & Seattle encourage people to judge themselves disproportionately by narrow subculture values.

@igetcha
I can truly get that. The more diverse, the less there is one thought that mixes into the community and pollutes one individual mind.
