Struggling with family
I feel like my father and step mom always expect me to put in all the effort in seeing them. It gets so draining after awhile. Seeing everything they are willing to do for/with my younger half sister that they just weren’t with me also has started to get to me.

You sound frustrated and I am sorry to hear that you are struggling. It is really painful when we do not receive validation from our family members. And it is not helping when you feel being treated differently than others in your family, no matter how much you are trying.
I hope you yourself acknowledge how much work you are putting in meeting them and are able to communicate it in an assertive tone. I found that the only person who will fight for keeping my own boundaries must be me.
