Memory

Creekcrazy80 July 1st, 2019

I am having ups and downs with my memory. I thought that I was doing pretty good and all of a sudden, boom. I hit a brick wall the past couple days that has been frustrating. I am working hard in group therapy, personal development, etc. I am on medications but not a lot at all really. I am trying to tell myself its just a bad couple days and remind myself all the progress Ive made but then I start slipping into the hypochondria when the memory gets zapped like that. It wasnt even that big a deal (for some I guess) but I was talking to my husband about an instagram post from one of my favorite actors from my favorite tv show that Ive seen every episode at least 10 times and can name the episodes and recite most of the script! I completely spaced on HIS name!!! Like...gone. He tried to probe to spark the thought. Took forever and he nearly gave it to me! No way should that info be gone from my brain! I mean, thats not just short term, Ive been a fan of this guy for a decade! UGH. Im being told it is cognitive overload but Im on medical leave from work. I have very little responsibilities right now. My anxiety is well controlled, Im sleeping, Im eating. So why is this continuing?!?
