I’ve struggled with depression all my life. Maybe starting around the preteen stage it really set it. Over the years, I have learned how to cope with my depression but it’s seems like my bf I have been with for a while now is starting to make me more depressed.


im fine all day by myself but the minute he walks in everything changes. My mood my energy.


it’s like we are just roommates, we don’t talk about anything we don’t connect. Everyday it’s a fight or argument.


the loneliness I feel from the relationship is hurting me and I don’t know how to get away…

@sunnyCurrent802 Hi there, I hear you. <3 It sounds like being around your boyfriend is bringing down your mood. It makes sense that you feel lonely and perhaps unfulfilled in this relationship if you don't connect and just fight often. It sounds like this hurt is eating away at you, and I can imagine how painful that is to experience every day. What do you mean by get away?

It is great that you have learned ways to cope with your depression :) Though I'm sorry that you've struggled with it for so long! Sometimes new events can cause old depression to resurface, so it makes sense that if you're feeling extra lonely, sad, and hurt, then that could trigger depression. What ways have you coped in the past when your depression was bad, and how would it feel to try any of those again now? Often the best strategies are whatever you know has helped you in the past.
