Coping

Dealing with high functioning depression was pretty difficult before getting the diagnosis.

It's now so much better that I can address the problem clearly. I'm grateful for this experience, although it's quite hard, I just learned more coping mechanisms and became a better version of myself since then.

Things like extending self-compassion wasn't ever in my mind before. Being kind with myself and knowing that it isn't my fault have raised my self-esteem tremendously.

Hey @Here4good74, nice to meet you. I get how difficult it is to deal with high functioning depression, and to navigate life through. It's incredibly great to hear about the positive change in your self-esteem, with increasing self-compassion and being more kind towards yourself. Sometimes kindness is all one asks for, be it someone else or ourselves. Really proud of you for trying your best at it and getting better at coping. Keep going at it. Much love to youuu! ❤
