Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

energeticCherry9742 February 24th, 2016

There are days when I look at myself and I feel ugly. My thighs are too thick, my arms jiggle and my stomach looks like a bear attacked it. My face is too round, my teeth are yellow and is that a zit? Yet there are days I feel beautiful and radiant. My eyes are bright, my hair is shiny and my body looks slimmer. I am curious about what is different from one day to the next where I go from feeling ugly to feeling beautiful. I think maybe for that moment we see ourselves as what others see in us. They don't focus on the flaws but on the beauty. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is why some people think Lily's are beautiful and others find them to be an ugly flower. Certain people will see the beauty in you and I hope you all believe that. Insecurities are hard to overcome and loving yourself is even harder. You don't know if a stranger on a bus may look at you and see a radiant person. And I bet if they told you they thought you were beautiful, your perspective on yourself would change.

Oh I love this thread!

Beauty certain is the the eye of the beholder!

Beauty starts within, I believe we should never judge a book by its cover, and always have an open eye when it come to meeting new people! Refrain from being judgemental.......Oh my Gosh! I looked horrendous for a long time because I was poorly! I always remeber the way people looked at me casting judgement, it was horrible! And made me feel less of a person! My feelings didn't matter!

Tell you what tho.......I learned a heck of a lot!!!!

Best wishes to you all ❤️

@energeticCherry9742 Hey, thanks for this post! I've noticed the days I feel more radiant are when I'm feeling happier and I've taken care of myself. But I see myself a lot in how you describe the downer days, too. <3
