Duration if a single emotional impulse

EdgarAllan May 26th, 2017

I was told that the length of a single emotional impulse in the brain is 20-30 seconds, and that it goes on longer because we keep dwelling (thinking) of triggers of that emotion. Has anyone else heard this? If so, do you know of any academic documentation?

@EdgarAllan unfortunately I do not the scientific evidence for this topic. I would be interested to know how the brain waves and synaptic nerves play an integral part into retaining those feelings that impact our emotional and physical triggers. Keep searching and maybe look into some scientific journals on the topic to identify factual information. I look forward to what you will find. You can do it!
