Chronic Pain & Depression
I've been dealing with chronic pain for what seems like a lifetime but is only a little over a year. This pain has taken away every good thing in my life. I don't know how to live like this anymore.... I have a CSF Leak in my neck, basically my head feels like it is going to explode when I sit up or stand up. The solution to this is doctors sticking needles in my spine..more pain. I need help, anyone who knows anything that could make me feel something other than pain would be a lifesaver.
Hello. Do you have IH or Chiari? Sounds like one of them. I'm in a similar situation. I have been chronically ill since age 19/20, & I'm now 49. I have IH (Intracranial Hypertension) also called Pseudotumor Cerebri, plus a host of other chronic illnesses, (& chronic pain) such as Fibromyalgia, CFS, Lupus, Arthritis in my collarbone, back, knees, hands & ankles, Degeneritive Disk disease, IBS, impacted bowel, & much more. I can truly relate to how you are feeling. So few understand, & SO many take for granted their physical health. It's such a HUGE depression trigger.
I'm new here & still confused as to how this works, (I can't find my own thread!) but if you figure it out, I'd love to chat. I think you have an illness I know a LOT about. (Ran a support group for almost 10 years on it)
