Wasted my life with toxic people

I was around toxic people for a while due to loneliness. In the end, I wasted my life hanging around with these people. What is my next step?

Although I wasted time with toxic people, I have learned one important lesson: Friends are worthless. I prefer my own company. Only late have I learned how true this is. Some realise it early and some realise it late.
