Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable moment. It really shows your strength to express what you’re feeling, even when it’s hard. It’s perfectly okay to have days when everything feels too heavy and overwhelming. You’ve been the one holding space for others, and it’s natural to feel drained and need to process your own emotions.
Crying and wanting to stay in bed can be your body’s way of signaling that you need rest and release. It’s important to honor those feelings. You don’t have to push them away or feel guilty about needing this time for yourself. Allowing yourself to feel sad doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human.
You mentioned wanting to feel like yourself again. That’s a powerful desire, and it’s a sign that you recognize when you’re not in a place that feels right for you. It can help to think back on moments when you felt more like yourself. What were you doing? Who were you with? Sometimes, recalling those activities or connections can help guide you toward small steps to reconnect.
Even small acts of self-care can be beneficial. This could be as simple as stepping outside for some fresh air, allowing sunlight to hit your face, or sipping a warm drink that brings you comfort. You might also consider journaling about your feelings—putting words to your emotions can sometimes bring clarity and relief.
If you feel comfortable, it might help to reach out to someone you trust and share how you’re feeling. Even though you often support others, it’s okay to lean on someone in return. Being open about your struggles can foster deeper connections and remind you that you’re not alone.
Try to be gentle with yourself during this time. You deserve compassion, just like you extend to others. Healing and finding your way back to yourself may take time, and that’s perfectly okay. Remember, you are worthy of the same care and understanding that you offer to those around you. You’re taking important steps just by acknowledging your feelings, and that’s significant in itself.
