How do you stay strong in the face of uncertainty?

Hello All. I’m looking for some encouragement and advice? How do you stay strong in the face of uncertainty? My husband is one of the many federal employees that is currently at threat at losing his job. He specifically chose to become a civil servant to serve his country and have stability in his life. I feel like my entire life is once again being turned upside down again just like COVID-19. I just don’t see the point in playing this game of life anymore. It’s horrible. It’s cruel. The only ones that seem to win are those that lie and break the rules. I feel like my parents never prepared me for this mess and that I’m just doomed to suffer until I die. It’s so hard to remain hopeful when you have no control.

I think there are actually not so many things in our lives that we can be in full control of.
Are you a religious person? I am not. But what helps me is being aware of the presence of a Higher Power, who prepares a safe landing for us even if things go wrong.

@greenDime5481 The control we do have is focus on the present and gratitude for what we have now. Worry doesn’t give us control. Worry may give us energy to plan how to face uncertainty, but worrying isn’t planing. You can’t be certain of what future changes may occur or how they may impact your life. Sometimes we end up with better outcomes than we could have seen.

Hello!
I’m looking for some encouragement and advice. How do you stay strong in the face of uncertainty?
The way I stay strong during any uncertainty is to keep living my life as I do and keep being my authentic self as I always am and not thinking about the uncertainty of it, only dealing with it if I have to. A lot of times people overthink things and typically stress themselves out by thinking something bad will happen before anything happens you know??? It’s like why do that to yourself when you don’t know what’ll happen since it’s uncertain??? I ask myself this question every time I do that to myself which isn’t as often as it used to be but it’s still frequent.
I always pack as many bottles of purified water as I can in my pockets with electrolytes, snacks, money, etc during uncertainty. Like for everything I take more than the required amount just in case bc in uncertainty you never know….
These things keep me strong during uncertainty

I've come to see uncertainty as very... alive. Not even just "human." As soon as we begin to ponder anything long enough, well, there is just so much to ponder, let's just say. But! What is also true is the happiness or cheekiness (or both!) you felt while believing there was certainty. Or while you just were not thinking about it. Isn't that interesting? Nothing was really any different. No different much at all. What changes at any point in time is... the point. What if we could, maybe, think of what is our point? You might say, well, that's the thing! Indeed, what is the point! But maybe we can decide. Slippery, isn't it? Yet, if that were the function... why not give it a sincere go? No time to try it like in one's most desperate or dark moment. What truly could go any more wrong? Believe in the future. Some people would say have faith. If that's you... absolutely, have faith. Have faith in something. If not yourself or something g bigger than you then maybe just in the sunning coming up... for now. And for as long a the sun does come up, well, I can at least choose what I WANT to do right now. For now. Let's just see, huh? Maybe forget about not knowing. The way we all come into this game, anyway.
