How do you cope?

cyanMoon6064 August 4th, 2023

Currently, I’m in depressive episode which started last Sat. Although my issue with my best friend is solved, I’m still not recovering from the episode. Right now, there’s no trigger or whatsoever. How do you deal with being in this state all the time? There’s nothing to talk to anyone about. There’s no particular feeling I’m having at all. I’m just generally down all the time, no appetite and tired permanently. What should I do?

Hi moon,

I think you should get silly!! No, seriously, whether you feel like it or not, get up and literally just swing your arms and body around. Like when you were a kid, spinning in endless circles to get dizzy. It might only help for a second and you might feel dumb, but during those few seconds or minutes you can laugh and just think about spinning and swinging around. Cry while you spin, talk to yourself while you spin and swing, scream and shout!! it takes time to get up, it takes time to feel okay. You’re not unlovable, or weird, or lazy for feeling tired and hopeless. We were not built for the world we live in now and I’m very sorry you have to feel the pain and weight of it. Sometimes just laying super flat on the floor helps, but this won’t go away right away. Sometimes it’s a pain so bad all we can do is make room for it and keep moving. I’m sorry moon, and I send all my support.

@cyanMoon6064 Maybe you need some down time to recover. Maybe this depression fog will lift. Or maybe you can look at some background thoughts that might be keeping you depressed. Check out the following perhaps
