Penfriends
I was looking around and I couldn't find anything for people to just get a pen pal from another country and I thought it would be cool. You can make friends and learn about different places. So anyone who finds this, please tag others, and set the wheel of friendship in motion.

This isn't the best site for making friends. You'd have better luck on Reddit since it has specific subreddits just for that.
@AlphaPheonix4720 yes, unfortunately due to the privacy policy on this site, it's not possible to share personal info such as an address to exchange letters. I do think it could be another form of support, especially if you've already made a connection with someone here, but with being unable to give outside contact that would be difficult
With that said I love snailmail and have a few pen pals myself :) (unrelated to here). I would recommend sites like these: sendsomething.net (many people from all over, very wonderful and simplistic); postcrossing (more for just random connections, and postcard-based); for mental health related there's Letters Against Depression. And of course really just searching for pen pals on the internet I'm sure will give you lots of other options..it may not be exactly the same as connecting to people from here, but there are still lots of wonderful people out there too :)
