Australian covid restrictions
Hi. I guess I was looking to chat/message with other Aussies. I think Australia and New Zealand have been lucky to avoid the things that have affected other countries. Now that domestic travel is limited and major areas are in partial or full lockdown I am finding it hard. I think people in Europe and the Americas have had it far worse but it seems it is really affecting us more now and the media is filled with reports. Again, I think overall we are fortunate to be in Australia. I have experienced two lockdowns and two self quarantines (the last self quarantine returning home from Melbourne was harder then a lockdown as I was stuck home alone for two weeks and not able to go to get food or out for a walk). I know people in other countries and people in Melbourne have experienced worse but it is causing me distress (and yes I am trying to limit watching and reading the news to twice a day).
I feel ya. I have also been feeling upset and a little depressed about the current lockdowns in Australia. And more so the fact that it seems to be never ending. I wish I could offer some solution, but know you're not alone, and it's okay to feel a sense of loss with the state of the world right now. Things are not the same as they used to be, and that's something I think will take a while to process and accept. Take care, friend. One day at a time.
Hey I have been feeling the same thing
