CDM Progress Report
Hi CDM Trainees,
This thread serves as progress reports for CDM Program.
We would love to hear how you are doing!
Each week, we would like you to reply to this thread answering the following three questions:
- Which discussion was the last you completed?
- What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
- What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
If you require support, please let us know and we'll reach out to you.
@ouiCherie
Hi all this is my third week of the program but one was of self care break
Which discussion was the last you completed?
The 13th and last but I also alredy submitted the practical parts and sent the form for tho honors project.
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
The first article. I had so many small things to correct that I hope I got right in the second one
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
Everything. Ask the mentors even if it's not yours. Ask the leaders. Contact the ambassador if you feel like you need to. They are all really there for you
1. Which discussion was the last you completed?
Last I completed the discussion 3 and created the graphic.
2. What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I was first struggling with using the 7cups app for the program. But later I realized that using the desktop is easier for navigating through different links and forum posts.
3. What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
Dedicating a certain time this week to complete the desired tasks from the CDM program helped me to stay on track and not procrastinate.
@ouiCherie
Which discussion was the last you completed?
I last completed the discussion 11.
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I found discussion 6 quite challenging, and I'm still unsure if I did it right since I'm waiting for some input on it.
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I completed the form to choose the title of my article, and while it wasn't approved straight away, the subject can be used so I'm rewriting my title more effectively!
Considering the short time between the Title submission deadline and the Article submission deadline, I would advise others to send their title as soon as possible so they have time to work on it if it's not accepted straight away :)
@ouiCherie
1st Week Report!
Which discussion was the last you completed?
Introduction to Content and Marketing at 7 CupsWhat are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I was ill last week so sadly I didn't get as much time to spend on this as I'd like but I'm feeling much better now and can't wait to get stuck in this week!
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I found looking over the documents thouroughly and adding my deadline dates into my personal calendar very helpful to keep track. It was also interesting to read other people's responses to the first forum post!

Weeks 2 & 3 (so sorry they are late!)
- Which discussion was the last you completed? - Content Catagories and Topics of Interest
- What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around? - Choosing which topics I'd like to write about was quite difficult because I find so many areas interesting! I also need to dive a bit deeper into the EAT concept to fully imbed it.
- What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others. - Learning about the writing guidelines and tips was very insightful! Had fun tweeting for the lightship team too!
@gentleFox20
Week 4
- Which discussion was the last you completed? Finished all of the discussion now!
- What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around? Trying to land on a name for my article proved more difficult than I thought it would. I chopped and changed the words around several times before settling.
- What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others. - I loved creating a graphic for an article, I found it really inspiring! Thinking about the actual message you want to send before focussing on colours etc is super important!
@ouiCherie
Which discussion was the last you completed?
I last completed discussion 11.
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I have been getting late on my schedule and for my deadlines because of personal difficulties that impacted severely my mental health those last 2 weeks.
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I couldn't complete my work and I have nothing useful to share at this time for this week.
@ouiCherie
Which discussion was the last you completed?
Still number 11.
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I am late and trying to catch up by finishing my article.
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I really enjoy writing the article but takes far more time than I expected.
@ouiCherie
Which discussion was the last you completed?
I completed discussion 12, currently working on discussion 13
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I only realised after sending it that the article must be 1000 to 2000 words, I thought it was "over 1000 words" so I need to edit it and resend it, is it possible??
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I was surprised in the end to manage discussion 12, I initially couldn't do it, I was not finding how to even start speaking about myself.
Maybe I could advise others to just start writing about their involvement with 7cups and the rest will fill it up itself.
Hi @Daf8 @Ginevra962 @loyalace9302 @WhenTheTimeComes @gentleFox20 I am thankful for the updates and tips you have found along the way to help the next trainees.
WhenTheTime, I hear you. Your mental health is the priority. Your extension had been processed and noted. And you can always take another extension if needed. How are you now?
GentleFox, I'm sorry to hear you were ill. how are you now?
Couldn't be more proud to read the updates and watch you all continue one step at a time despite the obstacles you might encountered.
I've been trying to catch up with everything on and off Cups in the past month, and you all are one great inspiration of grit. Hats off to everyone.
❤️ Hi, outstanding being! Awww, thank you! I am thankful for your wonderful work and incredible self ❤️
@ouiCherie
Which discussion was the last you completed?
All of them :)
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I didn't realise that we couldn't send each Further Experience separately. I didn't prepare enough time when I originally scheduled my program to allow for me to finish both Further Experience in time.

I am working on a Growth Path now, I sent the form to have it approved, I hope it will because I really enjoy doing it!
Maybe as a tip, be careful if you pick a growth path as further experience that you need to have your growth path validated beforehand, I didn't realise it.
@ouiCherie
- Which discussion was the last you completed? I completed all of them, working on my article now.
- What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around? I've been ill and am slowly returning to my routine, trying to graduate the CDM program. I'm worried I may have to start again.
- What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others. I need support. I think reaching out and asking for support is important. Apply for extensions if you think you'll be late. Try to keep the course and finish assignments early. I wish I had pushed myself and finished sooner. Unforeseen occurrences crop up, try your best to manage them.
