Hi, I'm Jude. I started what I thought was my dream job with a non-profit organization last August but it soon turned into a nightmare because of the boss! She is a micro-manager, and very difficult for everyone to work with. She talks so fast it's hard to understand what she wants but she gets mad when you ask questions... you're supposed to figure stuff out yourself. Sometimes she says one thing and then contradicts herself. But you were supposed to know that. She has had me in a Several closed door interrogations regarding why I am not getting my job, and how frustrated she is. I made the mistake of telling her i have anxiety and now she thinks i have a mental problem. But she won't fire me. some really weird things too...things that totally throw me off...like one time she was in my office talking to me and she asked why I was looking at her outfit (I wasn't). Today I heard her say to my coworker "you're smiling, that means you want me out of your office" and then "I hear you laughing in here" (he wasn't). She can be quite intimidating and she's made several people cry. A few weeks ago I had a panic attack in the office because I had torush doing somethingand i messed it up...the boss wasn't there but she heard about it and scolded me for not telling her. Well I just don't feel comfortable talking to her about anything! I'm looking for another job but need help coping in the meantime.

Jude, it's tough dealing with a boss like that. remember that it's not a reflection of your abilities. Try to prioritize self-care. Take breaks and practice relaxation techniques. get help from supportive colleagues or friends if you need to vent. And know that you're actively looking for another job, which shows resilience and strength. You're not alone, and things will get better.
