Dawn of a New Era

I have been on my current job for 5 years and have come to the conclusion that it may be time for me to leave. I am conflicted because I love the work that I do and the core group of my team. I cannot defeat the office politics though. In the 5 years, I have been denied promotions and the ability to convert to our client 8 times. When I asked for feedback on how I could improve and be considered for the roles going forward, they would lie to me saying I did things right and they know I belong in one of those positions, just to turn around and being a friend on the team in those positions.

I have reached my breaking point this time. The company overall has been great to me, it is just the local political game that makes it hard for me. So, I am on the move to hopefully be appreciated somewhere else.

Hello! Leaving a job can be very difficult, especially when there are aspects of your job that you really enjoy. Many employers don't appreciate their employees, so it's good that you're taking action about it. A lot of people don't because they feel comfortable at their job and fear change. I wish you the best of luck with your future employment :)

Thank you. I know I have to leave, but I also feel compelled to fight the system. I feel like I need to expose it. I want to spark the change for the brothers and sisters I am leave ng behind so that they can have a chance to move up.
