My husband

For more than a year, my husband has been experiencing what I would describe as a mental breakdown. He has not worked since then, and we may lose our home. Most days, he spends all his time in the recliner; however, over the past two days, he has been up all night.

While he has been engaging in activities that I would like to think are positive, his lack of sleep concerns me.

Is he experiencing mania again? Should I wait and see how he manages? This behavior has led to him being hospitalized five times this year due to suicidal thoughts.

@toughSpring1209

I think we tend to give our partners the benefit of doubt and lots of space

but some times we need to step up and speak up with our true feelings and ask them to finally deal with all he is going thru.   Marriage is a joint venture and when he spirals he takes you down too.  it is also a time thing as the stress on you to try to hold things together may eventually tear at the bonds and feelings you have for him.
