What’s wrong with me?

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I need some help, I’ve never actually been diagnosed with anything but I’ve been to several psychiatrists and one of them has prescribed me some pills which are labeled to be used for schizophrenia, although I used to get episodes which are described as “psychotic” and had many symptoms of psychosis, i really want to know what happened to me 2 years ago, i was super paranoid and delusional and i kept hallucinating, I didn’t know I was until my family noticed that I’ve been acting abnormal, I’ve had many delusions which made me lose a lot of friends. I never knew how to explain it to them because I was never diagnosed, I am still a young teenager trying to figure out why this happened to me. I was completely normal my whole life until I started acting weirdly for a few weeks, so can anyone help me figure out what this is? My psychiatrist says it’s just stress, and it hasn’t happened since I started taking the meds, but I am always scared that these symptoms will come back :(

Hey there. Stick to the meds. Listen to your psychiatrist. Just follow the medication plan and keep visiting your psychiatrist regularly and tell him honestly how you are feeling. Don’t worry about old episodes you cannot drive a car by looking into the rare view mirror.

you are young and you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t let the fear of some old episodes cripple you. As long as the current medication plan is working just stick to it. Don’t become your own doctor and try fiddling with your medication trust me on that - that’s where it all starts to go wrong.

stay connected to the support group and hit me up if you Want to talk more. But most importantly stay with the meds and follow what your psychiatrist tells you to do.

god speed.
