Ciclothimic or pmdd
Hello all,
I'm. new year
I've been diagnosed with ciclothymia more than ten years ago.
Through the years I noticed tho, my symptoms worsen ten days before my period.
I'm also an emotional abuse survivor and I have trauma because ofy childhood.
I changed many therapists because I go through the free health care system and I was never well listened.
So yeah
I hope someone can relate.

hi, I think I can kinda relate. I have chronic depression and undiagnosed PMDD. I would say between 5-3 days before I start my period I feel emotional and like I going crazy. I often have dark thought of hurting myself during this time.
After many years with this I want to try to address it. I find PMDD quite mentally exhausting. I think I’ve always had pms…. But at some point…don’t know when it became PMDD.
During the days when I feel the worst, I seclude and don’t spend to much time with others. I feel raw, vulnerable and exposed.
I haven’t found too much on coping with it.
I read to exercise and focus on healthy foods, but honestly it’s hard to exercise when I’m fatigued and crampy.
I have had other women and even doctors tell me to get a hysterectomy, but I’m on the older side.
Like I said I haven’t found much about it in terms of how to cope. But if I do, I’ll let you know🙂

Yeah I have PMDD with Bipolar I and schizoeffective all with psychosis and sometimes I'm so "up" during my "time" that it just turns into a full out episode. I tried different treatments but they didn't work so I'm just stuck with the medications they usually give you. I did find this one medication did well for me but I forget what it's called now haha it starts with a T and it's a seizure medication they use for psychiatry sometimes. But yeah dude I totally relate to that, as soon as "it" comes I calm way down and I go through that every month. I am 35 so I wonder what menopause will be like. Agh!
