Bipolar/schizophrenic
I have bipolar and schizophrenia, it's been very hard on me as I do not have insurance and am not medicated or in therapy, I would love to have people dealing with the same thing to talk to and try to get a grip on this until I am able to afford medication and therapy, I am worried I'm gonna lose my family and I'm just looking for advice, tips, anything I can try to help make this more manageable until I can get the proper help, I wish you all well and I hope to hear from anyone.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't afford treatment at the moment, but it's fantastic you're reaching out in anyway you can. Remember, there are local crisis lines you can call anytime you're going through a particularly hard time (or if you just need to talk). I have found these to be particularly helpful in calming me down.
I'm going to link a video I found helpful on recovery from bipolar disorder. Note that I'm sharing this because of his inspirational story, not for his treatment methods. This video is a great reminder that as bad as bipolar can impact your life, it is entirely possible to recover and live a healthy life.
Recognize the signs of mania. This rule of thumb is also pulled from the above video:
(1) Are you getting enough sleep?
(2) Are you finding yourself more attracted to the stereotypical "drugs, sex and rock and roll" lifestyle?
(3) Are you having grandiose ideas, and are you acting on them?
If you are experiencing one of these, you may be okay. Two of them, you may be approaching mania. Three of them, you are probably already manic.
I hope this helps. All the best.
