Working with anxiety
Please I need some tips and support on how to get back into working after 2 years out of work due to anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia and depersonalisation. I have found a place that I want to start volunteering at but am so scared.
@Caseface Hey there, thanks for the post! Given that it has been quite some time since your last role, your concerns are totally understandable! Have you addressed your concerns with your boss/supervisor? You don't have to necessarily be specific with them, but they would totally understand being nervous with a new role and provide support and help as you settle in. It also helps to have coping strategies to deal with the anxiety (i.e. deep breathing). Feel free to reach out to speak with a listener here if you ever want to chat. Best of luck with the new role!
