I don't know what to do, I wish I could be there
My brother has a lot of friends and frequently gives parties in the house, those are the moments I feel the worse. I have a small quantity of friends and lately I haven't been feeling like I identify with them anymore, I am desperate for meeting new people but I just can't talk to anyone. The people in the parties seem to be so nice and cool, but every time I show up I just get so nervous and just can't say anything interesting and I just want to come back to my bedroom quickly. It makes me really sad, I hear the music, the laughs, but I can't be there. And my mom doesn't stop asking if I'm upset and keep trying to make me do something like trying to talk to people or watch a movie with her.. why can't she just leave me alone? Also sometimes some girls of my old school should up. I had a hard time in the and people used to bully me, even though it wasn't them, when they're here it makes me remember those times and it makes me even more insecure

@Tropicalbear I'm sorry you're having a hard time with social anxiety and that people from your old school are triggering bad memories for you. Have you tried explaining mom that you just want to be alone? Do what makes you feel the most comfortable. Maybe big parties aren't your scene and that's ok. If you want to make it your scene, maybe you can try integrating slowly in steps. Good luck out there. I wish you the best.
@magicalStrawberry88 I tried but maybe I should be more delicate. It makes me stressed so I tend be rude when she asks those stuff. Big parties are definitely not my thing, but I wish I could choose if I want to go or not, not just stay in my room because I can't. Anyways, thanks for the answer, I'll try that way, just hope it's better than the other times :)
