I don't know if it's just me, but I often had to do a lot of presentations in front of the class. To me doing presentations was more unnerving than grad speech because once the presentation was over, the teacher would start throwing all kinds of questions, sometimes mercilessly. If you're like me, then I suppose you can use the same tactics you usually apply for the presentation.

Hey ! Here is some tips that might work : Before : * Learn your speech as best as you can * Repeat it in front of a crowd (friends, family) * Project yourself on the D day. Go into the room to see how it looks Before doing your speeach : * Practise deep breath * Jump, sing, dance, even for 5sec * Do a self-motivational speech. You can do it, you are the best, you have eveeerything to be able to do it * Project yourself : you speech will last 20min, what is 29 mib ib a life ?

Hello! I also get nervous before any public speaking. But for me, I set my confidence by keeping in mind that they want to hear me. They want to learn what you say. They DO NOT want you to fail. They are waiting intently, like dogs waiting for treats. And you can't disappoint them because you got your speech to give. If on the spot, you still feel nervous, the best way is to be honest (I'm nervous right now...) and your audience will totally get you.
