foods/products to help with anxiety?
Sometimes getting in the car and driving to the library, or Kroger, or any familiar spot helps me feel a little better. I'm going to see what I can find at Kroger, but do you guys have any suggestions for later ventures? Great-tasting foods that are good for anxiety? Stuffed animals? What do you think would help?
For those of you who haven't seen my posts, my particular brand of anxiety is health anxiety. I just got a call from the gastroenterology place and set up an appointment for May 7th, which doesn't seem horribly far away. But in the meantime, what things would you recommend I treat myself to? In order to breathe and eat easy?
Thanks so much!

Good for you, your really concerned about your mental health and its so important
@CarolineFCY
I think we're all different so this is very subjective.
I'll name what helps me, maybe you can find something that interests you?
Foods: for some reason orange natural juice makes me SO happy and pumped up. No idea why. This without sugar though; Chocolates; Tea (specially ginger with cinnamon and honey);
Objects: stressball, bracelets to play with, a notebook to scribble , phone (reminds me I can call anyone if I need to), books, and I always bring a small plushie.
Also in clothes I usually try to pick bring pastel colours when I'm sad, really helps.
I hope you find something interesting here that might help you! :)
@CarolineFCY Broccoli is supposed to absorb the excess adrenaline in the stomach... can lower anxiety and panic over time... i get frozen broccoli florets (tops) and thaw them out a coffee cup full per day... as it thaws i eat it throughout the day. It seems to help enough that I buy enough to keep it on hand. good luck!
