So stressed out

Starcage36 March 4th, 2017
I feel so stressed out about school and life and like I'm in 7th grade now and like next year we apply for high schools and my mom wants me to go to the special high schools but you need really good grades to get in and also you need to take a test and it's really hard and my grades aren't really that good recently and my mom thinks I'm not trying hard enough but I do but it's just that 7th grade is really hard and like I get distracted because of other things in life like fake friends and love and etc.. and like she's pressuring me so much and I try to talk to her about it but she won't and she's always saying I'm playing on my phone to much but the real reason I play in my phone a lot because no one really understands how I truly feel inside and when I play on my phone I forget about the stress in life and it cheers me up but she doesn't understand how I truly feel and I just sometimes feel like no one really cares about me and even if I died no would care and everyone would be happier without me and like I'm not important to anyone not even my family and friends

That sounds so distressful. What things can you do to relax more. Have you thought about looking into mentor or private tutor to support you. You are who you are meant to be...

That does sound stressful, indeed! I'm so, so proud of you for having the courage so far and pushing through despite self doubt regarding your intelligence, which I'm absolutely sure you're smart! Grades don't define your intelligence alone, so don't be too bogged down. Joining a sport or club can help your social aspect of school, and may increase your chances of getting into a special High School if you wish to do so. If not, it's best to talk to your mom about your feelings. You can also talk to your school guidance counselor regarding advice for the academic aspect as well, they're there to help you! Remember, if you change your mind, you can most likely apply for 10th or 11th grade year instead of 9th, though it's recommended to stick with one school throughout all 4 years of High School. If you wish not to, it can definitely give you a head start for your social aspect of High School! Remember, you're in 7th grade, so have fun!! Try not to stress too much about the future. In the long run, you'll be a High School graduate from somewhere and on the way to a College or University, Career, or Military (or where ever you chose to go after High School). Let us know how it goes and good luck!
