Scared about my health
I’m 23 years old and my body ain’t working right to me. I knew I had stomach issues a lot when I was little but never really got it checked out unless it was so bad I had to go to the hospital. For a while I always got a stomach aches or cramps in the middle of my stomach. It doesn’t do that now but now I get nauseous anytime I eat. I can eat 2 bites and feel so full that I might throw up but at the same time, im still kinda hungry. Anytime I eat I feel like shit. It’s scary Bc when im anxious I feel nauseous to where I throw up and idk if it’s my stomach playing games or if it’s my anxiety playing games. I haven’t seen a primary doctor since I was probably 12 so im trying to look for one but I get anxiety talking on the phone or to a person idk that might make me feel stupid. If anyone is like this let me know pls
Hi @Maddfury03. I'm so sorry that you're currently going through these struggles. Just know that you're brave and strong for coming this far and for all that you have endured. I've had some stomach problems myself, which include acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion. What would help most would be to schedule an appointment with a gatroenterologist doctor to properly diagnose why you are having stomach issues and what they specifically are. Once you know what those issues are, you'll be able to properly figure out the right steps necessary to solve them. Primary doctors won't be able to help much with these severe issues so I think it would be best to visit a specialist instead. It helped me a lot. Try to find one in your local area. Lastly, remember to not lose hope that things can and WILL get better. Believing in your circumstances and health getting better is part of the process of becoming healthier again. Because of this, it's important to not be afraid to have hope, but rather push yourself to do so. I hope this post helped in some way. Hang in there man and have hope.
Also, make sure to put your mind at ease by not thinking about your health struggles too much. Maybe try relaxing, watching a movie, taking a walk in nature while listening to some music, pursuing certain hobbies, spending time with loved ones and people you feel comfortable with, etc. It's important to remember that you don't have to go through this alone.

Totally agree with what Akshay said. I also have a lot of stomach issues but after seeing a doctor and going through several tests over the years, I'm at a good point, know what's wrong and know what I can do to make things better. (And it's actually all really easy stuff!)
It can be very intimidating going to a doctor. And scary. You know there's something wrong and you want to get it fixed but it's scary to find out what's wrong. But it's really a good thing to do. When you find your primary care doctor, you're actually hiring someone to be on your team to help take care of you. They want you to be better!
Some tips for choosing the right doctor for you:
1. If you have a local FB group for your town, ask in the group for doctor recommendations. It's a good place to start.
2. Just an FYI, there are MDs and DOs. There is a difference between the two and if you are here on an anxiety board, I'd recommend a DO. Here's a solid article that explains more about the two types of doctors. https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/difference-between-md-and-do
3. If you have a local clinic with several doctors, look on their website. Read the bios of the doctors. I find that to be very helpful and makes me more comfortable knowing who I'm going to see. I get to see what they look like, what their education is, and they throw in some personal info. So for me, if I was a marathon runner and I found a doctor who ran marathons, I might be more inclined to pick that doctor because he could understand more about some of the aches and pains I'd go through.
4. If you go see one doctor and you don't think (s)he's a good fit, you can switch. Choose the one that's best for you and makes you feel comfortable.
