Just Don’t Understand
You would think working in the healthcare field, supervisors, management, etc would care about employees and their mental health but I’m realizing more and more that isn’t the case..I’ve been in the healthcare field since the height of the pandemic and my anxiety level has been at an all time high. We are given mental health days but it’s like pulling teeth to actually be able to use them and I don’t understand how is more of a hassle to take a mental health day than it is to come into work and deal with the day to day chaos.
I’m starting to feel burnt out and exhausted. I’ve been debating switching careers but than it just seems so overwhelming thinking about transitioning into something new. The whole process of going on interviews makes my heart race let alone doing interviews on Zoom! I don’t know why I get so nervous at the thought of being on camera. But I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place because I know for my own sanity I cannot stay in the healthcare field and it’s time for me to move on but all the nervousness and panic attacks just thinking about switching holds me back from doing so!
I just don’t understand!

Best of luck with your future, you deserve to have a workplace that values your mental health instead of using it as a 'token' where they'll look good but it's only on their terms.
Just breathe, you've come so far and any workplace to has you will be extremely lucky.

Sorry to hear that. Ou deserve to have a job where the boss cares about your mental health. To deal with the anxiety, try deep breathing.
Sorry to hear this.. We need more employees who work hard.. but at the same time its our{society} duty to take care of your mental health. sometimes i also feel anxious due to work load. That time i try to talk with my friends or family members so i feel better and find a way to face it. You can also try. All the best!
