I am unable to enjoy life

When something good happens I try to enjoy it fully but spend the whole while thinking about what can go wrong, how I could make it better or how I am going to mess it up. And when the moment is over, I obsess about what I have done wrong, how I lost my chance of ever living such a good moment again, if it really was as good I as thought it was and most often if I was deserving of such a good moment. In short, I never fully enjoy any moment in my life because I am always thinking and mostly negative thoughts.

You deserve to be able to feel happiness. I can't write as much as I'd like; the wrist on my dominant hand is broken.

Life is never constant, it will change when we'd least expect it to change. But it doesn't mean just cause of bad things we should stop enjoying our good moments. We all are here to enjoy the moments, for memories. What gonna happen, gonna happen. You've given this life because you can live it. you'll face everything life will throw on ya. Something we can't change that's why future is hidden. Overthinking won't help ya, but your action would definitely help ya. sometimes when we overthink before, and when the actual time arrives we can't do thing we actually want to. You have more strength than you think.

Hello Im sorry that you are feeling so discouraged with how you are feeling. You have the answer, you said you find yourself focusing on the negative. I will keep you in my prayers that you find happiness by focusing on the positive things. God Bless!

@Packita I'm sorry you feel that you can't enjoy moments in life. I want you to know that you are not alone in this. Many of us experience moments like this to some extent.

It sounds like you are going through a battle with what I call the inner bully. Something that may help is by constantly reminding yourself of your strengths/ great qualities and being very confident in those things. Tell yourself that you deserve these great moments and will live in the moment. Even make daily mantras out of it if that helps you more.
