@amicableSugar6711 Hi Sugar )) First I know what you are talking about... I think in the morning, especially early morninigs we have a lot of annoying thoughts that can cause anxiety. What I personally think is that anxiety cannot be considered morning or evening. I more believe it is just anxiety but it hits us in the time of the day when we out inner attention is most awake.

So what to do in this case?

1. I think first you should try to tackle your anxiety overall. Here is a link with some exercises on overcoming anxiety that 7cups is suggesting. http://www.7cups.com/anxiety-help/ But also try to reach out to people here on 7cups to vent out and seek support. I would be glad to be your listener.

2. As in the mornings it becomes more severe, a good idea is to try and shift your attention to other things that you schedule. This can be exercise - which is always very good. It will boost your energy and give you a sense of power. Of course in the bginning due to the anxiety you may lack energy to do that, but I would suggest to still try and overcome this lack of energy and to persist with the exercise.

3. I strongly recommend morning guided meditation with affirmations. There are plenty of resources you can find on youtube. One of my favorite is Louise Hay morning meditation.

4. Try to hold a gratefulness journal. This means that everymorning when you wake up you write 5 things you are grateful for. This can also include things that you don't have yet but wish to have. You can use this time to thank the universe for bringing them into your life.

5. Try breathing exercises outside. Breathing in general helps with anxiety. Doing it outside will give you also a fresh awakening and start of the day.

Hope these help and I strongly advice that you stick with at least one of them despite the lack of energy or negative thoughts. Even if you have the negative thoughts to hold you back I strongly advice that you stick with the behavior.

Contact me if you would like to vent out and I really hope your anxiety fades away soon!!

@amicableSugar6711 SupportiveKitty70 gave the best suggestions and I agree that they do help with anxiety because I too have anxiey and all these things listed help. I find the mindfullness exercises on the site to be extremely helpful (they are under the path tab). :) Let us know if you tried any of them and how it went :)
