Harassment and what to do about it.
I am having some problems where I live the property mangement person is harassing us. They always leave emails nagging myself of doing things I did not do. Leaving messages what "quick questions" I am feeling watched like a hawk. She threatens to do home inspections when she just did one, my bf wants to move and tell her to calm down. I don't want to be harassed over what my other tenants are doing. She already threatened me of how clean my apartment was, saying if anybody does this or that they will be evicted even though they pay rent. I pay rent on time every month I am getting tired of this I can't move because I need 2 major surgeries how to I aviod any situation whith this nightmare of a person it is like walking/living on eggshells help- Melanie Daniels63
@MelanieDaniels63 I'm sorry that you have been dealing with that. How have you been since you posted this? Are you still with the same landlord?
@SecretlyMe Hey yea, everything is fine thanks for asking. It is such a long story huge misunderstanding. I am still in the apartment they have raised rent to a extra $75.00 a month no fun. I still need a ton of matience done that has been put off. No more apartment checks that was the only one, they won't come back. Tmi sad story but this is what my matience man said when we asked what that was all about. He said a man (tenant) in one of their other apartments(buildings/house) passed away young on his porch his apartment was a mess they had to clean it just really really tragic. They went to all their apartments/buildings they rent out to and checked everyone's apartment/building. Why? I have no idea he said by law or something it had to be done idk still gonna be here we got scared and we got a clean apartment out of it. It would have been nice if we were told before/while the apartment inspection that was the case. We were relieved we were not gonna loose the place but sad to hear what happened to the other tenant glad that is over and I get to stay and move on thanks for asking/being curious wanting a udate have a great day night *p.s* sorry this was long a lot went down and to say what happened.
@MelanieDaniels63 *P.s* also in my last thread update to the apartment issue I was having i wrote of needing 2 major surgeries well I guess time to add to that. the dr. said I am healing and won't need them. It's another positive to that situation sorru if too much tmi usually I am not used to others wanting a "update" or caring/asking etc... Just indifference or bullys/trolls really I am carrying on good night/day.
@MelanieDaniels63 Don't worry about sharing too much. If something is bothering you and it's not too personal FOR YOU to share, then by all means share with us. The community is here to support you through the hard times and celebrate the victories. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better and you were able to avoid undergoing two surgeries. That must have been a relief to have an alternative instead.
I was also relieved to see that your living situation is at least a little bit better. Those unexpected check ins sounded like a big nuisance. It's great that they aren't doing that to you anymore. That being said, I'm sorry that the rent has been raised and you have been waiting so long for maintenance to be done. I hope the additional $75 was somewhat manageable for you. I know that any additional expense never goes by unnoticed but I hope it isn't stretching your budget too thin. When do you think the maintenance will be taken care of? Again I hope what needs to be serviced isn't something that is very noticeable in your everyday life. I'm sure it has been frustrating to not get help from them when you need it.
