I went to a party for the first time since people stopped wearing masks. I felt anxious, thinking:

- Is this really safe?

- That doesn't feel normal yet.

- I am not well dressed enough.

- I am too fancy for this party.

- People are prettier than me.

- I feel old and that is bad.

- I don't Have a job and that is too bad. I am ashamed. I am not worthy.

@mary31

Heya! Thoughts like these are completely normal and understandable, I have them as well, especially in party-like situations. It can be hard to not question things and feel secure in them. In my experience, I do my best to be present, and not get too caught up in the racing thoughts. It can be very tough to enjoy an experience if your mind is so focused on anything else. Being present and mindful is important, not just in situations like these too. It's definitely not the easiest thing, and I still find myself getting stuck in the endless stream of thoughts, but it can be worked on!

You got this! ❤️
