Family problems

I get really terrible panic attacks when anyone talk in loud voices, but just a tiny while ago my family members started to argue very angrily about the smallest issue again :( even though I've been trying everything to help myself feel better, I can't calm down... I really don't know what to do anymore, especially since my family is just filled with people who have pretty bad anger issues... Even if I do get myself to feel better today, it would still be the same in the future :( Any advice on how to deal with the bad anxiety?

Do you have any coping mechanisms that you could use to help yourself during these times? For example I like to listen to music when things are rough. Is there any activity you like that would help you through that?

That must be very challenging and stressful being surrounded by all the shouting and loud voices while it seems like all your attempts to calm down are not really working.

If you would like you can reach out to a listener and you can talk about all of this and even discuss different techniques to get to to calm down.

But there are also a handful of other things you can do. Listening to music is one way, you can drown out all the loud voices and shouting and just escape. You can also try any other method that can just divert your attention from the shouting; drawing, reading, just preoccupy your mind. It will be hard and might take some time. There is also diaphragmic breathing which is great way to just get your mind and body to relax. What I have found works is a mixture of various of these techniques.
