Existential Crisis

Surrender68 January 11th, 2015

Does anyone else get existential crises? Like where you suddenly start wondering what the point is to everything, and get weirded out by how little we know about the world?

I get them, and they really creep me out.

When you think about it, it's not actually a crisis. There is no purpose to life, existentially.

Thank you all for being so candid abouta very important topic. smiley I think that existential issues are something many people have to face at some point or another. If anyone here would like to chat about it, it's a topic I have a lot of personal experience with; so, I'd be more than happy to try to support you through your dilemmas. Please feel free to send me a message.

Yes. I used to for a long time until I decided that the fears that came with the crisis were completely unproductive. Time healed me really.

So, I'm going through this too. It's not something many people agree with. But I tend to overwhelm myself with think way too deep about some philosophy stuff. I do sometimes randomly wonder like, everything we know might not exist. All our values and scientific rules might not actuallyexist.Theconcept of nothingness is interesting. Like, what is outside of the universe. Something can't be inside of nothing...? Can it? I mean like when we do stuff, or do anything, how many people really think? All this, it might not matter. All our concepts and morals are pointless, there might be ?being? way different than the human mind has the ability to understand. ?We? as a race, as a creature, as a part of space and universe, might not exist. This might be something WAY out of human understanding. I wonder how far the ?human? mind can think. There is an amount of un-knowing that even when thinking like this, we as a race, and I as a person can?t understand or accept. People don?t know that all their religion and beliefs, only can go so far. They don?t realize that all this stuff might not matter. That ALL of this could just be for nothing, or it could be everything. Anything could be everything or nothing at all because our minds and we can only think so deeplyHere are two terms that sorrta describe what I?m thinking? Nihilism Existentialism
