Daily Work Anxiety

resourcefulSugar9234 April 20th, 2021

Hi everyone, I haven't been in the workplace long. Slightly more than a year. Last year I had a goal when I went to work. It was to get training to set myself up for my career. But I hit a snag when I failed one of my exams and covid hit. Since then work has become a burden. Every morning while I a preparing for work I get a knot in my stomach that usually comes with a very upset stomach. Nausea and diarrhea. Every. Single. Morning. It's gotten worse over time that even getting a phone call from a work colleague outside work hours triggers the same feeling. I'm currently on sick leave but my colleague called to ask about a matter at work and I felt the same feelings again. Is it normal to feel this way? Do you experience the same?

Hey there just wanted to let you know you aren't alone. I experienced this too when I started my new job. It slowly got better once I learned to accept these feelings and reach out for more help from friends, family and started therapy. Just remember that you are a lot stronger than you think you are.

There are several manifestations of anxiety. It may be physical or social. Knowing the roots of that anxious feelings can help resolve the problem. It is becuase of the enviroment, the people, the culture. By then we can make adjustments to help get rid of the effects of anxiety.
