Anxiety
Hello,
I am fairly new here. I am looking for a place to share my feelings and though, and maybe getting some support by talking about similar experiences. I am dealing with anxiety from a traumatic event, and it interferes with all the aspects of my life. I question all my decisions, all my relationships. I feel like I am trapped in my own mind, who refuse to follow some sort of rationality. Wish everyone the best,

Sorry jumping in but if you want I have some tips?
Physically any sort of exercise helps. Walking, dancing, jumping, rock climbing. The most well knowned for anxiety though is yoga.
In your daily basics you can also drink alot of water and specific teas that directly help with anxiety.
There's also breathing techniques that you can try. They really help!
ANd finally you need someone to talk to, specially someone positive. If possible a friend or a family member, if not then you can always vent about your anxiety (or ask for tips) in the daily anxiety threads!
p.s- if your anxiety is becoming severe I recommend you to have a doctors appointment. Sometimes medication is required

Hello,
I would not say that I am an expert in the field, but when I feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts, I try to take some time off for myself, doing something that can help me putting my mind away, such as reading, or going for a walk, so then I can try to look at the problem with more rationality.
Also, I find helpful to listen to some relaxing music (there are some nice apps) and breath, that usually calms me down a bit.
I hope it helps, but once again, this are some personal suggestions I find useful. I am also following a therapy with a counsellour, which I hope will help me.

Also you mentioned trauma. There's a sucommunity of trauma where there are treads about relationships. I found alot of peace there so I thought about sharing it :)
