I love to read. The best is curling up on the couch when it is raining and reading the day away. I enjoy reading self help books. I often feel like if the pages of this library book are this worn I must not be the only one who is struggling in this area. It is a distraction from life and I ususally learn a thing or two about myself and this condition. I thought I would share a few gems and see what others are reading that makes anxiety a bit more manageable!

Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson

I laughed outloud at the book. The situations that she describes while poking fun at her illness made me laugh til I snorted.

Women Who Worry Too Much by Holly Hazlett-Stephens

This was a quick read that gave some really practice stratagies for keeping anxiety at bay.

Unfu*k Yoruself by Gary John Bishop

I listened to this on audible. It is like a 8 hour prep talk to get out of your head and into your life.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

I find that clutter makes my anxiety higher so this book helped to make the clutter in my life less. It gave step by step instructions for getting rid of stuff that sometimes makes life overwhelming.

Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight

She is very raw with her advice and makes you take inventory of your priorities.

What are other books that you would recommend?

Thanks for sharing your gems!

For me, I would personally recommend "Monsoon Tiger and Other Stories" by Rain Chudori

The way that she writes is just beautifully deep. I forgot how many times I re-read this book @w@

I completely agree with you about feeling better with less clutter.

I recommend The Anxiety Cure by Klaus Bernhardt. Its based on neuroscience and encourages positive visualisation.
