Fear of dogs!
When I was eleven, my family got a new dog that was pretty big. Over time, he started to become a different dog from who we thought he was at the start. He didn't take having two other dogs in the house well and became very possessive and aggressive. He would have to wear a harness and muzzle on every walk, he would have to be locked away when quests came over or else he would attack them, he would attack members of the household, and got in vicious fights with our other two little dogs and the cats feared him. It came to the point where I was scared to be in my own house, especially at night, afraid he would think I was an intruder and attack me. The dog became a lost cause. Nobody else wanted him and he couldn't be trained, trainers even refused to take him because he was too aggressive. My family loved him, but he was becoming too much and unfortunately we had to put him down. Since then, I've had a phobia of dogs, more so bigger dogs. In the beginning I couldn't even leave the house, afraid I'd run into a stray and get attacked, and I'd walk feet away from fences with barking dogs behind them and would be terrified going to my friend's houses who had big dogs. It's not as bad anymore, but it is definitely still there. A lot of people don't understand this fear and it's embarrassing at times because people don't take it seriously.
