performance anxiety and ballet

were doing rehearsals for cinderella this month and i genuinely feel like im gonna throw up thinking about it. Im good at ballet (i think), i've been doing it since i was two years old. But rehearsals are always so scary, not because im worried about which role i'll get, but the other girls watching and having peoples eyes on me makes me sick to my stomach 😠i don't know how to overcome that fear at all

First of all, it’s amazing that you’ve been dancing ballet since you were two! That’s such a huge accomplishment and a testament to your dedication and skill. I totally get how the pressure of being watched by others can bring up so much anxiety. Try to remember why you fell in love with ballet in the first place. It was never about impressing anyone, but about the art, the joy, and the movement. If you can channel that energy, even in rehearsals, you might feel a little less like the spotlight is on you and more like you're in your own element.
