How to calm my anxious thoughts? How to be calmed in every situation. I am tired in getting anxious in almost every hour of my life and in almost every event happening in my life. Talking to someone, social gathering, phone calls, messages even the smallest things make me anxious.

I need a help. I want to live better.

How long have you been feeling like this? I have bouts of anxiety too, but other periods when I feel better. I usually feel better after accomplishing something. Sometimes the accomplishments are small household tasks, or exercising, but other times it’s something bigger like studying all day. I like listening to music to help distract me when I need a little more motivation to get things done. Also, talking to loved ones reduces my anxiety, but they aren’t alway available. Do you have things that help you that you can incorporate more? I like doing things for people - I have a knitting project for my child that I’m working on that relaxes me. I hope some of these ideas can help. Sometimes I just have to break through the anxiety and do the thing. I also see a therapist. That helps significantly to have someone to hear me out and be reassuring or have suggestions apart from my family. I am enjoying the community on 7 cups for support and comradery.
