Health Anxiety

Dangbit, I Let my anxiety get the better of me again. I've been sick so I went to the doctor and got some tests and meds. But then I started bugging her with too many calls and messages with questions about my condition and meds. Now I'm afraid that even though shes been very patient, she'll ditch me, and she's such a good doctor. So I hope not. Thing is, I'm not usually this way...just when I'm sick and this has been a weird and difficult illness. How do you cope with health anxiety?

First of all, this is not like insanely abnormal, everyone of us goes throught that phase, so relax.
What helps me and probably might also help you:
1. Whenever you feel anxious type in or write in your thoughts (even the most weird ones) in a notepad/diary. Just keep doing it for atleast 10 minutes.
What this does is organise your mind and rearrange it's thoughts.
We always tend to imagine the worst things that can happen to us
To be honest, our bodies are very well equipped to fight off most dangers on their own upto a certain level
I am not undermining the role of medicines, but I am saying that nothing happens very suddenly (even an emergency like a heart attack happens only when the person is ignoring signs of his body and avoiding a health check or missing medications)
But in reality everything eill give its signs and signals very starkly, we don't have to search or check everyday, it will just bring it to your attention automatic
So RELAX
2. Just as a courtesy (You haven't done anything wrong as such) after a few days of silence, message your doc an apology for being so anxious (Just upfront admit it, no need to call yourself stupid or that you have annoyed ger much). Just a short message also with gratitude that she has been patient (I am a doctor myself, and I can tell you, doctors really feel good when their patients thank them)
3. For everyday life as well, there are a few things you can try (Just 10 min atleast for each point daily)
1. Study your mind and its thoughts: Anyway you prefer. Don't suppress, just address (Nothing is stupid, useless i. this Universe) and try to find solutions tot hen as much as you can, on your own or asking someone you feel (including me if you wish to)
2. Spend 10 min with Nature : Just around your house is also enough
3. A simple prayer of happiness and love to the whole Universe (which includes you)
Be your own most loving parent and teacher,
Take care
You're wonderful
