Things that work?

What fidgets or things have y’all found to help with ADHD? I have tried everything and can’t seem to find anything that works.

@Ethel94alone Hi Ethel, what a great question. A fidget for me doesn't have to be a classic handheld item, it can be anything that lets me work one part of my body while I'm mentally focusing on something else. My favorites include chewing gum, rubbing a stone bracelet (tumbled garnet, the texture is really smooth), rubbing my fingernails if I've painted them (certain polishes I really like because it makes the nail feel extra smooth), 3D printed toys (bendable dragon/infinity cube), a small toy dinosaur with a moving jaw ($5 from Walgreens), spinning gently in an office chair (if not an option, having something like a small box or wall I can push on with my feet) or finding excuses to get up and go for a 5 min walk and return. If I want to be subtle, I'll try to have my water bottle or a pen/notebook on hand to have something to hold. I'm very texture oriented, so a pen with a soft rubber grip or a notebook with a raised pattern on the cover are things I will gravitate towards.
