Maybe there’s something else?

bs027 9 hours ago

Hi every one, I’m new in this community and I’d like to share my journey. Recently my therapist told me that maybe I could be an adhd person because my profile is similar to this disease. How to deal with situation. It’s all new to me. I still have some tests to go through but this therapist is very convinced of this. I often can't turn off my brain and I feel like I'm sinking into all my commitments. Do you have any advice?

I apologize if there are mistakes but I'm not a native speaker.

Have a good day, bye!🩷

@bs027

Hi bs027, may I be the first to welcome you to our sub-community. If you are just beginning your journey with learning about ADHD you can have a look through the various threads here, as many have shared perspectives of living with this condition.

I like to look at it not as a disease or disability, but simply a difference in the way our brains are wired to function. Once we have gained some knowledge about how we operate, we can start to incorporate changes to make daily life easier on ourselves and perhaps even end up using our ADHD to our advantage. I hope you enjoy looking around the 7 cups community, and making some new friends while you are here. 😊

Hi! Thanks u for the answer! I’m so sorry for the misunderstanding: I got confused in English because this word is a false friend in my language. I didn't mean disease but a different way of functioning of the ADHD brain from the "normal" one, I just don't know how to translate the word directly and I used disease wrongly.

I hope this trip will be nice!
