Not knowing what issue I’m having

Hi everyone ,

I’m Emma and I used to be alcoholic. I have been sober past 10 months but it has never been so easy and I feel I’m lost. All I ever knew past 7 years are clubs and bars. To stay sober I had to cut all people out of my life which left me with none and I feel lonely

I went from very extrovert to an introvert who is scared from people interaction and criticism. I’m not really sure how to restart but I just want to be back to my original to find again passion to life. I used to be full of passion and full of motivation now everything just a meh 🫤

Hi Emma

Thank you for opening up and sharing your experience. It sounds like you had an overall life change, which on one side helped you get a healthier life on the other side it raised some new challenges.

Signing up to 7 Cup surely was a good first step to get in touch with people and I really hope you can connect with others 🙏🏽

Maybe you could see this challenging time like the mext chapter of your book in which you get to redefine yourself by doing things you would’ve never thought you’d do them like knitting or volunteering at a retirement home. A list of ‚Things I thought I’d never do’ or maybe a Bucket List could help to try out new things. I made the experience that it was my mind holding me back from trying something new. I had too many thoughts about something instead of just doing it, once i started to just try it for the sake of it (or for the plottwist if you will) i started to enjoy just being able to do something, didnt really matter what it was.

You could also ask yourself what you loved doing as a kid or always wanted to do as a kid and never got the chance to do it.

Much courage and confidence 🤍
