Internet and social media addiction

It's become a problem- I'm on my phone all the time. I don't work which makes things worse. It's how I cope with loneliness. I need help

It is something many get hooked on it they are bored ...

..sure you feel somewhat connected as ........you see things going on and you are up to date with what (x) person is doing ....but you are just observing others lives ...

what are you doing in your life? .......do you want to work and interact with others? or even volunteer ?....

the things about real life friends you get the whole spectrum of people ....... on social media you may only see people whom you agree with or have same vision ....things on internet often targeted to what the algorithm thinks you like.... this does not encourage growth or change.

IN real life there is a chance that you are meeting people whom bring new thoughts/ ideas and they may challenge yours ........ to perhaps encourage you see things in new and different ways.

It teaches  people  to interact better and resolve conflict of ideas......... not just BLOCK someone....

@alittlebirdintheattic , hello there , I am sure this is coming out of Blue. I have been suffering from internet addiction since COVID. And it has taken so many things away fromy. My family , friends , studies. Everything I cared about is hurt cus of this. I want someone to talk about it. Whom I can listen to . And understand eachother. I need a friend who knows a bit about this. Its been a while since you posted this. So I don't know how you are at the moment. But if this something you want to work further on we can do that too , only if you are okay with it . Please let me know what you think Kay ? It's okay if you don't want to engage in this too. Thank you for taking out time to read this
