A Talk On Self Care With Kieran000!

Clarisse29 May 5th, 2022

Talker: @kieran000

What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of what a good day looks like on 7cups, for you.

For me, a good time on 7 cups involves me having conflict-free days in the wonderful group chats and 1-1. It isn’t too much work.. but still a lot, enough to keep me busy and happy with what I’m doing here.

What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance?

When striking a balance of 7 cups and real life. I faced a few challenges. Firstly I love it here so much, I don’t want to take a break even when someday I might need it again. Taking a break was difficult but I did it, and now I'm back better than before. Also, I think it’s very hard to go without seeing many awesome friends I’ve made here, so that was a struggle, to distance myself from 7 cups.

How did you try to deal with those challenges?

I tried to deal with them by going in 7 cups but staying off my many roles for a while. As I have, and had, so many roles, it was important for me to step back from them for a little, and focus on a different part of 7 cups, and have more freedom to step away from cups if I ever needed at that period of time.

What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups?

Improving the balance for the time I spend on 7 cups is very important. It helps me stay cool-headed in the chat rooms whilst being there. It helps me provide the best possible support that I can give to others, without impacting my own mental health too negatively.

What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways?

I’d say remember that your health is of utmost importance. Whilst it’s amazing being here, taking care of yourself will allow you to keep supporting others, for a longer time in the future.

I'm really enjoying this new way to greet you in forums lol ~ specially these threads xD so hey hey Clarisse, we meet again. 😛 Thankyou for posting another awesome interview. ❤

Kieee, I enjoy your insights always hehe. Awesome people here and the many roles are two very powerful factors that can challenge our needs for self care and prevent us from taking the much needed breaks or stepping away from here as often we'd like/need/have to, I believe you're certainly not alone in finding it challenging to balance on and off cups, and cups' responsibilities. Also, yes true, our well being should be a priority always. Achieving that balance, I feel, is like a continual goal and certainly something to keep working on. You got this, Kieee, I know you do. ❤ Keep at it!

@Clarisse29 - Hello, Clarisse! It’s really great to bump into you again in forums. Thank you for conducting this really amazing interview! 😊

@kieran000 - Hello, Kieran! It’s awesome to see you again, even though we’ve only met each other for a brief time in TL. You are totally right about how challenging it could be the balance your life of 7 Cups with your offline life, and it can be hard to take a break. However, I’m really proud of you for noticing that you needed to step back, and that you came back better than before! It’s great how balancing your time allowed you to stay level-headed in group chats, especially when they get stressful, and how it also allowed you to support others to the best of your ability. I really love your ending message, emphasizing how your health is soooooo important so that you can lip supporting others without feeling burnt out and overwhelmed. Thank you for doing this interviews, and your responses were absolutely wonderful! Keep up the great work! ❤️
